It’s secure. It’s convenient. And it’s about to make your payment experience even better. This May, all Webster Five debit cards will be reissued with the new Contactless Visa® card.
This page will contain important dates, helpful information, and ways to get started with your new card.
Check out all the features that come along with your new debit card:
Contactless: With your new Contactless Debit Card, you will be able to make payments with a simple tap of your card to the payment terminal. Contactless transactions are a more secure way to pay, eliminating the need for physical contact with the card reader.
Online/Mobile Banking Tools: Enhanced card control options for robust, self-service fraud prevention features such as activate/deactivate, as well as report lost, misplaced or stolen cards.
Digital Wallet – Available on June 4th: Add your new debit card to your mobile phone’s digital wallet for a convenient, yet secure way to pay. Simply open the Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay app on your phone and follow the prompts to securely load your debit card.
Important Dates
May 20-31, 2024
All customers with a debit card will receive a new card in the mail. Debit card details will appear in Digital Banking prior to receiving your physical card.
If your card expires in May, please see “What if my current card expires in May?” in the FAQs.

June 4, 2024
New debit cards can be added to Mobile Wallet. Attempting enrollment prior to June 4 may cause your card to be blocked.
June 30, 2024
All Mastercard debit cards will no longer be in service, regardless of printed card expiration date. Your new Visa must be activated by this date.

How do I activate my card?
Call 1-800-290-7893 from your primary phone number to activate your new card. Please stay on the line after your card has been activated to set your pin.
Will I get a new card number/need to set my pin again?
Yes, you will receive a new card number and will need to set a pin for your new Visa debit card. Your current pin will not carry over to the new card. When calling 1-800-290-7893 from your primary phone number to activate your new card, please stay on the line after your card has been activated to set your pin.
What if I have an issue with my new card?
For debit card disputes, call 833-305-0702.
To report a lost or stolen card, call 888-297-3416.

What if I have multiple cards going to different accounts?
Each of your debit cards will be replaced with the new Visa card. To identify which card goes to which account, go to Online or Mobile Banking. Under Card Management, each card will be listed under its associated account.

What if my current card expires in May?
You’ll receive a reissue of your current Mastercard debit card on schedule in May to ensure you don’t go a day without your debit card. Then, starting May 22, you’ll receive the new Visa contactless card to replace it.
The Mastercard debit card will expire in June regardless of expiration date, so we recommend you activate your new Visa as soon as possible.
Will my old card still work until its expiration date?
No, all previously existing cards will expire in June. We recommend you activate your new card as soon as possible to avoid any interruptions.
Where can I use the Contactless feature?
Tap to Pay can be used at any retailer where you see the Visa® contactless symbol on the terminal (similar to the symbol you see on your card).
Is Contactless the only way to pay?
No, your Webster Five debit card will also come equipped with a chip and swipe. Contactless is just another option at your disposal for a simpler, more secure way to pay.
