On February 3, 2020, Webster Five became the first Worcester County based bank to join a growing coalition pledging to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. One of more than 900 CEOs that have come together for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, our President and CEO, Donald Doyle, committed himself and the bank to fostering an environment that embraces differences and acknowledges the challenges that can be caused by preconceptions and unconscious bias related to race, gender and disabilities.
In April 2021, CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is marking its third Day of Understanding – a dedicated time created to have candid conversations about diversity, inclusion and belonging within organizations and our communities. On Thursday, April 8th, Webster Five will join companies across the United States and hold our first annual Day of Understanding. Our DEI Committee and Senior Management Team will meet to explore and look deeper into how we can become better allies to support a more inclusive organization. The goal of these discussions is to further cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion conversations, embrace differences and increase our understanding. By encouraging these conversations, we are working to help empower our employees to be champions of change on these difficult, crucial issues.

Webster Five Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
In order to uphold our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we have established a DEI Committee to bring together employees from across the bank to engage in diversity outreach initiatives involving both employees and the communities we serve. The committee meets regularly to discuss, communicate and create collaborations in ongoing and upcoming initiatives and events that support the goal of enhancing the environment for diversity, inclusion and equity across the bank.
