The Webster Five Foundation announced that as part of its Web of Caring to Make a Difference program, it will donate $1,000 to the Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester. The funds will assist with the financial aid program, to help alleviate tuition for students from low-income families.

Webster Five’s Web of Caring to Make a Difference program reinforces the bank’s long-standing initiative to give back to the community by supporting local organizations that are making a difference. The Pakachoag Music School aligns with this initiative as it aims to make music lessons available to all children, giving them the opportunity to nurture their own music ability, gain confidence and inspire creativity.

The organization offers a range of programs, from early childhood to young adults, serving 40 different communities in and around Worcester. Students receive a weekly private lesson or participate in a weekly class, choosing from a variety of genres to study, including violin, jazz, folk, and ensembles.

Richard T. Leahy, president and chief executive officer of Webster Five, stated, “We appreciate what the Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester offers to students in the area. Webster Five is honored to support the school’s goal to help make music lessons available to all students, in our community”

Executive Director Sarah Smongeski said “We are very grateful to Webster Five for their donation, which will allow us to secure support for the current year’s financial aid program. We thank Webster Five for helping to make our services available to the students and making music a part of their life.”
