Front Street Branch Manager Joins Business Banking Team

Webster Five Cents Savings Bank names Robert Totaro Business Lending Officer, after working as Branch Manager of the Front Street location in Worcester since opening in October 2015. In his new role, Rob will be responsible for developing new business, structuring and closing commercial loans and maintaining the existing loan portfolio. Rob’s experience as a Branch Manager will offer a new perspective to the business banking team. This new role will allow him to demonstrate his approach to developing long term partnerships with customers and to become a trusted advisor and resource as they develop and grow their business.

Totaro has 17 years of experience working in the banking industry. He joined the Webster Five team in 2007 as an assistant branch manager and made his way to branch manager shortly thereafter. Rob has a diverse background in providing customer service, working at both the Shrewsbury branch and Grafton Street, Worcester branch. Prior to working at Webster Five, Rob was an assistant branch manager, senior branch business banker at Citizens Bank, where he worked with small business customers.

Totaro graduated from Worcester State University with a BS in Business Administration and completed the program at the New England School for Financial Studies in 2014. He is currently attending Nichol’s College working towards his MBA. His volunteer experience includes financial literacy presentations geared towards elementary school students, but most recently to students attending the Fieldstone School in Worcester, MA. Rob recently became an Ambassador with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he promotes the features and benefits of the Chamber by onboarding new members, facilitating introductions between existing members and volunteering in business after hour events to represent the organization. Rob’s motivation, familiarity with the Worcester area and experience working one on one with customers will allow him to excel in this new role as business lending officer.
