Collections Manager Named AVP

Webster Five Cents Savings Bank announces the promotion of Melissa Baar to Assistant Vice President after working as collections manager for the past year. Starting with Webster Five in 2014, Melissa joined the collections department as the new collection manager. Her responsibilities include managing the collection of delinquent installment loans and mortgage loans, representing the bank at foreclosures, submitting active charged-off loans to third party agents, and providing guidance to the collections staff. Due to her dedication and performance in this role, Melissa earned the status promotion to AVP.

Melissa has 13 years of experience working in collections within the banking industry. Before joining the Webster Five team, she worked as a loan counseling assistant for 6 years and a high end collections specialist 5 years prior. Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Becker College. She was named an Officer of the bank in 2014 and served as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of Central Massachusetts in 2015. Melissa now serves as the Chair of the internal United Way committee at the bank.
